...somehow, such knowledge only makes the prospect more horrifying. [NOT LOGICAL? Say it ain't so!] How can any species thrive with such a powerfully irrational force driving their actions? Nice though it may feel at times, it's simply astonishing that humankind has lasted as long as it has, on any planet, without destroying itself.
